For common snoring/daytime sleepiness, Level 3 is a good starting point. If symptoms are complex (cardio-pulmonary/neuromuscular concerns, suspected central events) or prior HSAT was unclear, Level 2 or PSG may be more suitable.
HSAT is reliable for many uncomplicated adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea. If your test is negative/borderline but symptoms persist, consider a higher-level study.
People with significant heart/lung/neuromuscular conditions, major sleep movement disorders, or suspected central apneas often need Level 2 or PSG for full evaluation.
A technician visits, fits the sensors, and confirms the recording. Setup takes ~15–20 minutes. You sleep at home as usual and hand the device back the next day (pickup or drop-off as guided).
